The Saartjie Project

Farah is currently working with her theatre company, The Saartjie Project, on writing and developing their next production, Four Women.

Synopsis: Named after and inspired by Nina Simone’s poignant song, "Four Women" presents a multimedia mosaic of womanhood. Aunt Sarah, Saffronia, Sweet Thing, & Peaches aren’t mere archetypes...their essence comes alive through solo and ensemble poetry, song, dance and drama. In “Four Women”, performance art & visual art intersect on stage pushing the audience beyond ever-present one-dimensional imagery of black women into the humanity in all of us. Once again, The Saartjie Project invites you to look just beyond what you think you see.
